Join policymakers and senior European legislators as they discuss the importance of Chinese investment in the US and the EU. The briefing also marks the release of a joint report on Chinese FDI by the Bertelsmann Foundation North America and the China Center for International Economic Exchanges entitled “Cash in Hand: Chinese Foreign Direct Investment in the U.S. and Germany”.

By examining the investment policies and climates of Germany and the United States, two rapidly growing destinations for Chinese investment, the study shows the need for creating a clear strategy for absorbing Chinese FDI in the U.S. and EU.

Authors Ting Xu, Senior Project Manager at the Bertelsmann Foundation North America, and Tianlong Wang of the China Center for International Economic Exchanges will present the report’s findings.

Commentators are:

Aaron S. Brickman, Deputy Executive Director of SelectUSA, International Trade Administration, US Department of Commerce
