Transponder Magazine
Welcome to our new magazine, the Transponder! On behalf of the Bertelsmann Foundation, it is our pleasure to share with you Issue 1.
The Transponder examines the state of the transatlantic partnership in the past and present to determine the factors needed to maintain its strength. We conclude that the short-term turbulence that lies ahead will not alter a solid bedrock.
Our magazine provides insight into a past and present that bodes well for the future, while exploring the question, “What is rocking the transatlantic relationship today?” Topics explored in Issue 1 include Angela Merkel’s legacy, climate security and action, transatlantic trends, diplomacy, democracy, and how film making is paving a new front in exploring the transatlantic relationship.
