Michael McKeon joined the Bertelsmann Foundation in August 2015. He manages the Foundation’s work on international trade issues and legislative affairs, including the Congressional European Parliamentary Initiative (CEPI) and outreach to the U.S. Congress and European Parliament.

Michael was previously a legislative affairs and international trade fellow at the Bertelsmann Foundation. He also held positions at the Delegation of the European Union to the United States, an international investment and government relations consulting firm, and as an editor at a number of academic and nonprofit organizations.

Michael earned his master’s degree at Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, where he was editor-in-chief of the Georgetown Journal of International Affairs. He has a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University. He speaks Italian and German.
