Nathan Crist joined the Bertelsmann Foundation in September 2017 after working as a research assistant on the Disrupting Democracy project. He is responsible for social media communications and outreach concerning the foundation’s publications and events, and supports the transatlantic projects.

Nate holds a master’s degree in German and European Studies from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, where he focused on Central Europe and international business.

He previously completed an internship at the BMW Group in Munich and a fellowship at the German Bundestag in Berlin. Nate has also taught English through the Fulbright Program in Austria and worked at a radio station in Hamburg. He has a bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages from Kenyon College in Ohio, where he studied German and French.
