The 2018 U.S. midterm elections have triggered a female wave in the U.S. House of Representatives. Up from 84, now 102 women will serve as representatives in the 116th Congress, making up 23.45 percent of the members. With gender parity gradually increasing in the U.S., this infographic looks at how parliaments in other parts of the world compare. If the country's or entity's legislature is bicameral, our focus here is on the lower house only.
